Cale Cross House

Residential - Newcastle upon Tyne

The design team were engaged by M7 Real Estate to develop an architectural concept for the conversion of Cale Cross House offices into a high specification residential Permitted Development residential scheme in Newcastle. The design team generated a first stage concept proposal to illustrate the scope and potential for the existing office building. The concept illustrated various options and hybrid solutions to deliver the maximum quantum of residential units to the existing building within the base footprint of the tower. The PD scheme was submitted to the council in 2019 and was granted permission to develop 128 new residential units in the heart of Newcastle’s vibrant Quayside.
